Favorite Product Ranges: REF Swedish Haircare

REF Swedish Haircare

I had the pleasure of working with REF products on clients whilst here in Malta.
I have to be honest and say that I had not heard of this brand prior to using it, but I have been very pleasantly surprised with the results...
REF is a Swedish brand that came up with a very simple numbering system that determines the Hold factor, Shine factor, and Volume factor (in this order) for all of their hair care products.  The Shampoo and Conditioning products have the same system, only the Hold factor turns into Care factor.
This system doesn't only make it easy for the stylist to remember which product is good for what result, but it also shows the client in a very practical and easy to understand way, which products would benefit the client.
See below my favorite picks from the REF Hair Product range:
REF 241 Get it Straight - Ideal product for blowdrying hair straight.  It has a light hold factor, high shine factor and slight volume factor for the ultimate blowdrying tool.  It is designed to aid in heat protection.  Perfect for blowdries that need the straightening irons to finish.
Gel like consistency, do not use in excess as it will become slightly sticky.  Concentrate on hair ends.
REF 303 Ocean Mist - Great for that messy beach look effect.  It contains salt which helps to keep the hair rough looking yet does not make the hair feel dirty or tacky at all.  It is perfect in combination with some hair spray to give bob styles an exra edgey-ness or great for long wavy hair to create a light bed-head effect.
Use on dry hair.
REF 050 Gloss Spray - Ideal finishing gloss.  It gives an incredible shine and finishes off any style with a touch of glamour.
It can be a little heavy when used in excess, so try and concentrate on ends, or spray 50 cm above the head and let it fall down onto the hair like a mist.
Their Shampoo and Conditioning range has recently been renewed.  It has been made completely Sulfate Free, ideal for those who suffer from a sensitive scalp.
They have also renewed their Conditioning Treatments.  There but used to be only 1 deep conditioning treatment, but now has a specialised 3 treatment system to complement each hair type individually; REF 552Moisture Treatment, REF 542 Colour Treatment and REF 550 Repair Treatment.
REF has also got a Professional Colour Range.
his colour range has 2 main innovative benefits.  REF colours contain only 2% ammonia whereas other competitors can use up to as much as 10%.  REF colours are also enriched with Aloe Vera to soothe and hydrate whilst processing.
IMOH every stylist should try the up and coming product range of REF, and every client should try these luxurious products which also have the added benefit of amazing scents.  You will NOT be disappointed !
